Harvard Scientist Joseph Klim Awarded Tom Kirchhoff Family Post-Doctoral Fellowship
29 November 2015
Named for former Project ALS board member, leader, and inspiration, the Tom Kirchhoff Family Post-Doctoral Fellowships at Project ALS are given to promising young scientists already making a difference in ALS research. This October, the first ever Kirchhoff Family Post-Doctoral Fellowship was awarded to Joseph Klim, a researcher in the Harvard laboratory of geneticist and stem cell biologist Kevin Eggan. Klim has made recent inroads using stem cell models of human ALS to identify new therapeutic targets, including neuroinflammation, and the ALS proteasome, or the way in which cells metabolize proteins in ALS.
