Team McLaren for the TCS New York City Marathon
By Scott Voris & Pat Roney | 21 October 2014
The Aurora, IL community continues to remember both Dr. Eric McLaren and his passion for Project A.L.S. Eric lost his battle with ALS this past summer, and we miss him very much. Pat Roney is training for his third New York City Marathon; and this go around, he recruited Scott Voris to run with him and support Project A.L.S. Last year, Pat ran the race with Eric’s good friends John Plain and Brian Konen.
Training for the 2014 New York Marathon has been a labor of love. The Aurora community continues to support Project A.L.S.’s noble mission and is hopeful to be a small part of the organization’s overall success to cure this dreaded disease. Our goal is to raise over $15,000, and it looks like we will surpass that mark this year. While Pat is a more serious runner and Scott looks just to cross the finish line, both of us are excited to bring our wives and have a great time in NYC this November.
