Breakthrough Study Defines Critical Role of “V1 Interneurons” in Human Movement – Has Implications for ALS

A breakthrough study funded by Project ALS defines the critical role of brain cells called “V1 interneurons” in human movement. Because movement is completely compromised in ALS, studying “V1 interneurons” may provide scientists with answers on the causes and progression of the disease.
