Stories of the Season: The Alfords

The Alfords

“ALS has touched our family in so many ways. Our uncle, Dick Carrington, passed away from ALS at 39 and 25+ years later, ALS took our grandmother, Alicia Ragsdale, in March of this year. We’ve seen the ways this terrible disease can take so much from the lives of some of the most remarkable people and their families.

Getting involved with Project ALS – through the NYC marathon team, Women and the Brain and so many other wonderful events – has not only given us hope of one day finding a cure, but a connection to a remarkable community of other families that have been touched by this disease. For that, we are forever grateful for Project ALS and will continue to fight alongside them to find a cure for ALS.”

– Sutton, Ali and Camden Alford

Stories of the Season offers a heartfelt glimpse into the families who make up the Project ALS community. ALS takes so much from so many, and these stories are the driving force behind our relentless 26-year fight for effective treatments and a cure.”
