Gettysburg Baseball’s Take ALS Yard 2022

Gettysburg Baseball 'Take ALS Yard' Day 2022

Last month, Coach John Campo and Gettysburg Bullets Baseball held their annual “Take ALS Yard” event at Kirchhoff Field in memory of much-loved Gettysburg community members Tommy Kirchhoff and Robert Borman.

Since 2013, Gettysburg’s Take ALS Yard program has raised over $115,000 in support of drug discovery efforts at the Project ALS Therapeutics Core. Project ALS is honored by this community’s thoughtful and steadfast support.

Gettysburg Baseball’s efforts exemplify the power a small community can have in the fight against this disease. When we are united towards a shared goal, no challenge is too great.

Go Bullets!

We want to thank this year’s Take ALS Yard coordinators, seniors Matt Muir and Shane Manieri, and the Kirchhoff and Borman families for rallying around ALS research so that people living with ALS may have meaningful treatments, and one day, a cure.

We also want to give a special thank you to Coach Campo, who announced his retirement last week. Thank you for everything you’ve done for our organization and we look forward to our continued friendship over the years. Congratulations on such a successful career!
